Arab Protest Posters: Political Art Found On Libya, Syria And Yemen Streets (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 08/19/11 03:29 PM ET   Updated: 10/19/11 06:12 AM ET

As protests continue to rattle throughout the Middle East, demonstrators in Libya, Syria and Yemen are taking out the aversion in particularly creative ways -- crafting politically-inspired posters intended to ridicule leaders in their respective nations.

Depictions range from a simple 'X' drawn across a photo of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to one of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, drawn with huge Dumbo-like ears.

Check out some of the inspired posters and vote for the most clever below:

This online paper is NOT the HuffPost I fell in love with. They are soo leaning toward the right and borderline racist.

The framed poster of the donkey thinking about Barack Obama is awesome. I would totally hang it up on my living room wall. Any idea what some of these posters actually say?

Yeah, actually the one you like is being waved around by Libyan supporters of the Gaddafi dictatorship. They were laughing at the temerity of Hillary and Obama for opposing their mighty hero Muammar. Guess that sentiment has been overtaken by recent events :-)

The anti-Assad ones seem to have all been filmed at the same demonstration of
Syrian exiles in Turkey. Unfortunately there are no recent pictures of anti-Assad protestors from inside Syria, mainly because the Syrian Army has spent the last two weeks killing them all :-(

Disturbing photos. Demanding freedom and justice is one thing but calls for vengeance are misplaced and would increase the determination of the regime to fight to the bitter end.

Too many are afraid to say it. It is the same issue the US will face soon enough. Illegal aliens will be protesting the end of free money. After WWI and WWII 3 US president expelled millions of illegals to save their vetran countrymen from dire consequences of no work. Dont believe it? Look up operation wet back in any browser. It will happen again world wide in the western world no matter what the left thinks, the same solutions will happen again. Progressives always say one thing when another is needed. Thats why they never win in the end. They deny the hard ugly truth. They believe they are taking the high morale road when the real truth is that they could topple the democratic world if they get their way and a charismatic ultra right wingers and ultra left wingers rise again like Hitler and Stalin. Denying threality of abusive worker programs could cause another dark ages like internal strife. The republicans lover the cheap labor and the democrates lover the new illegal voters. They are both daft in the head. China and Japan with pure cultures and a pure identity will become world dominant. Everyone who believes in multiculturalism will fall by the division it creates. The multiculturalists will be in deep doodoo. All the westen nations will again go back to some original identity of cease to exist.

What's up with these arabs man? They have some of the most beautiful women in the world and they make them cover up. I mean, really, we have our hot chicks in porno and penthouse. Give it up sahib! I know, completely dumbf comment but I'm going to post it anyway.

Men in most parts of the arab world don't like to show off their wives to their friends and family if they're beautiful, they're very protective, it's a completely different mentality and based on your comment who can blame them if the expectation is that hot chicks should all be in porno or penthouse for your enjoyment.

In #13, the ears that they drew on Qadaffi look like the ears that caricatures of George W. Bush always had.

I was hoping that someone had drawn a picture of Hosni Mubarak dressed like Lady Gaga or something.
