Liam Gallagher Taking Brother Noel To Court

Oasis Bros Take Their Sibling Issues To Court

The Oasis bros are taking their sibling issues to court. Liam Gallagher, former lead singer of Oasis, put out a statement, given to the Sun, providing his reasons for suing his brother. The reasons wind back to 2009:

I HAVE taken legal action against Noel Gallagher for statements he made claiming Oasis pulled out of the 2009 V Festival Chelmsford gig because I had a hangover.

That is a lie and I want Oasis fans and others who were at V to know the truth.

I was gutted when I couldn't play the gig because I didn't want to let the fans down.

But the truth is I had laryngitis, which Noel was made fully aware of that morning, diagnosed by a doctor.

The world must know Liam was not hungover. Liam also wants you to know that Noel falsely attributed the demise of Oasis to a fight they had.

"The truth is there was no such discussion or row between us," Liam said.

Liam claims that all he wants out of this is the satisfaction of hearing his brother apologize.

If you haven't been following this sibling rivalry, they've had a few bumps in the road since 2009. Back in January of this year, Liam accused Noel of taking material for his solo album from Oasis sessions during Dig Out Your Soul.

"I've heard his fucking new record 'cos I fucking sung on half of it," Liam said. "Fucking nonsense."

Again, when Noel announced the release date, Liam tweeted one word: "SHITBAG."

Most recently, when Noel dropped his first single off Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, "The Death of You and Me," Liam tweeted something that most couldn't help but see as another stab: "1 word....Dido."

Ouch.

Stay tuned to see what goes down when Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds drops on Oct. 17.
