Funny how the Republicans are always portrayed as the rich and yet 8 of the top ten on the richest people in Congress are DEMOCRATS. Go figure. Democrats are for the little people and the downtrodden right? LOL

Congress the more you try to create division the more unity will return !

we are very hope full that it will be so peaceful as to give no reason for a tizzy on your part !

You stand in front of the camera,s and you say were broke yet you continue to wage and fund wars that were not even paid for in the first 8 years

you congress gave tax cuts at a time when the nation was engaged in these wars based on lies there fore insuring our collective tax coffers would be drained in a hurry !

you have enacted laws and then back dated them so as to insure no Justice for the people

then you blame the poor and elderly as if they were the cause

it is so truly twisted if you ask me ?

you have use elected,s chair to enhance so few when you represent so many

you did bail out banking when the people did say NO !

across all party economic religious line,s

and then when the public calls for solutions you vacation like you work for a private sector job

The unfortunate truth in our politics now is that a regular working class person probably has as much chane of running for office and winning as they would lining up to run the Kentucky Derby. Without having the backing of millions of dollars you have -0- chance of making a race. This means that handlers from both parties chose first and foremost WHO gets to run. They will vote the way they are told. Districts have pretty much been gerrymandered to the point that there are more safe seats for the parties than those in play every cycle. Term limits is only part of a solution to eliminate these lifers from our system. Our President said he would attack campaign finance reform to prevent people from "gaming the system" - after rejecting the public financing of electons which he had agreed to. He is now on course to try and buy the Presidency for ONE BILLION DOLLARS next year. Guess he meant he will tackle that one after HIS re-election.

Wonder no more! This is the reason why these Republicans are so opposed to repealing the Bush tax cuts! They would be taxing themselves! Think about it! They are protecting themselves and their corporate partners and buddies! They want us to foot the national debt but not participate in helping to pay their fair share in taxes! Warren Buffet made it very simple and clear "Stop protecting the wealthy" and what did the Republicans respond with "If he wants to pay more go ahead"! This America is asinine and rather arrogant!

Will you give up your three percent? I will. Let all the Bush tax cuts expire, ALL. Asinine and arrogant is expecting someone else to do something you won't. If all the tax cuts were allowed to expire, we would have the 4 trillion needed to reduce the debt, without having to make the cuts. Make no mistake, this government needs to get its house and programs in order, but the revenue over the next decade would produce what we need. Will you give up your three percent?

laugh now cry later....Murphys Law.....some wonder why ...after all of the precautionary measures they used to take from the poor to satisfy their hunger for greed....why certain misfortunes occur in their personal lives after they strategically plotted to gain illegal unethical cash to care for themselves and their loved ones....while having the nerve to proceed /act as though they are pillars of righteousness...and in their eyes providing moral ethical standards for their loved ones ...and the community to which they have fooled....with a suit a smile and a pocket full of cash...we all must answer sooner or later...this is such a short visit...not worth the criminal tactics.

WAYS to REFORM CONGRESS:
So, Let's start by addressing as to why these people are in Congress in the first place:
1) do not allow campaign finance funding/contribution of ANY form
2) TERM LIMITS for Congress; (if the US Presidency has term-limit, WHY NOT members of congress)
3) give free campaign airtime to ALL (republicans, democrats, independents, etc., etc.) national candidates, including national debates
4) abolish electoral college
5) establish a government-funded Media (ala BBC) but whose editorial board is INDEPENDENT and whose members are from all of America's "walk of life" and societal segments
6) election vote counting must be verifiable, auditable, and completely transparent.
7) make voting not just a RIGHT but an OBLIGATION of every qualifying citizen. (If they do not like any candidate, they should still go to the polls and they can abstain. There's issue with people who complain about the government, system, etc., but they do not even vote...)

The above, if properly implemented, will significantly remove influence of moneyed-lobbyists, MSM, professional politicians, two-party manipulation of campaign and debate, and apathy of some voters to participate (in voting) in the election process.

Give power back to the people!!!

No wonder that they can't relate to the challenges American families deal with day in day out. And think about this, we fund their retirement and medical 100% and it isn't Social Security. What would be interesting is how much money did they have when they were first elected. I know a lot of them get their first money from Mom and Dad and never had a real job but many became wealthy after being elected. I have read that Washington politicians tend to do better in the stock market than most investors. Could it be that they are real insider traders that know the legislation and regulations before the public and can pick stocks years before the trend?
My last comment can only be, TERM LIMITS.

Hillary Clinton made over 100K in the commodities market in about a three month period in the 90's. I remember everyone was very impressed by her abilities to access and pick winners so easily and make so much money. But she said she was just guessing and had had no assistance al all.

No, it's not a crime to be rich, but it should be a crime to be a politician who tells their constituency they UNDERSTAND their pain at not finding work, at worrying about how they'll feed their family or even if they'll be homeless....when obviously, they don't.
