The series had its edgy moments and while it wasn't great all the time, it still had a little bit of a bite. The movies took all of that away. It became so unrealistic and grating. I feel like the characters became even less relatable so I'm not really sure a third movie is going to add anything else to the stories of these women, but we'll see.

What would there be left to tell? They all gone their seprate ways. I hate to admit it would be a waiste of time to make another movie. I saw both of the movies, they were good. I still watch the series on tv.

In a world where even the most minor comic book character is being developed for movie franchises, and films are made based on board games (have you seen the terrible trailer for "Battleship" - or the in pre-production Candyland film) I think it is perfectly logical for there to be another Sex & The City film. There is a largely male community dedicated to trashing Sex & The City, but they don't have to see it. I know the 2nd big screen effort had a wildly different tone from the series or the first film, but i still enjoyed it and my friends and I laughed our way through it and delighted in it's glamorous excess.

The first movie was OK, the second was boring as heck. The series was a true winner, but what ever happened to exiting on a good note?

Why not? The first one grossed over $415 million and the second over $288 million. Those are big box office numbers. Someone besides just me is enjoying them.

The name "Sex and the City" does not even apply anymore. The series was so refreshing and honest when it came out. Watching the show in my twenties, it really spoke to me and my own ridiculous dating experiences and prepared me for those to come. Now, it's all crap. The last season of the series was already jumping the shark, I felt embarrassed watching the finale with my boyfriend, "this is the brilliant series you've been talking about?" I had hoped that the movies would redeem the series finale, but no such luck. Leave the characters alone already!

What is with all the ageism in the comments? These women are in their 40's and one in her 50's who still looks great. 40's are not old anymore and haven't been "old" for a long time really. 50's either. Esp in Hollywood where they have access to the finest skin care and cosmetic procedures.

It's not the women, but the premise and writing that's gone old and saggy.

These "girls" are getting so old, the movie will have to be pretty much computer generated to make them look the right age.

Oh Jeez. Haven't people had enough of these four shallow characters? The only actress here that has an iota of talent is Cynthia Nixon. If you haven't caught her in the Big C, you're missing a great show.
