Kim Kardashian Wedding Prompts 22 Calls To Police

LOS ANGELES -- Kim Kardashian's weekend wedding kept the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office busy.

Officer Drew Sugars says the Saturday evening ceremony brought 22 calls into the station, mostly complaints from neighbors about loud music and helicopters overhead.

Sugars says seven deputies were hired to provide supplemental security at the nuptials, which were held at a private estate in Montecito, Calif.

No citations were issued, and no arrests were made.

Kardashian's marriage to professional basketball player Kris Humphries was filmed for a forthcoming TV special.

It is the first marriage for the 26-year-old athlete and the second for the 30-year-old reality star, who appears on E!'s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

Good grief people, it was a wedding/party. It was a Saturday night. It was over at a decent hour. So what was the problem? Neighbors can't deal with just one night? I'm not a fan of KK but all the complaints are rediculous. That area are filled with prudes, rich arrogant people. I lived in the area for 2 years and was happy to get out. Those properties are so big, you couldn't hear much noise from neighbors so why all the complaints?

I couldn't care less about this woman, but what's wrong with her neighbors, who are obviously rich too, and must have known it was Kim's wedding going on. Maybe they were upset they weren't invited. And aren't helicopters the norm for the police in LA? A common everyday sight.

I am no fan of the Kardashians, but are people that petty that they have to call the police to complain about her wedding? They couldnt just suck it up one night and spend the night in their multimillion dollar mansions to keep out the noise? Unbelieveable.

Then there's the point that the merry married woman went swimming in the ocean and lost an earring worth $75,000.00. Of course, the swim was forced by hubby throwing her into the ocean, but still, shows a complete lack of common sense.
