Action America Mobilizes Largest Day Of Community Service On 9/11

As the tenth anniversary of the September 2001 terrorist attacks approaches, Action America is gearing up to organize the largest day of service in our nation's history.

Action America, a nonprofit organization that aims to honor the tragic events of 9/11 by unifying people around positive action, has created a three-part campaign to mobilize citizens across the country.

Volunteers can find local service opportunities in their communities, donate to the National September 11 Memorial or the Wounded Warriors Project and share their thoughts and feelings about their September 11 service.

"The tenth anniversary happens to fall on a Sunday," remarked Tim Armstrong, Chairman and CEO of AOL, "and we're hoping people will take a day on, instead of a day off."
