Ben Flajnik On 'The Bachelor'? 'Bachelorette' Runner-Up Next: Report

He missed out on one dream girl; now, he may have a whole plethora of ladies.

Us Weekly is reporting that Ben Flajnik, the runner up on this past season of "The Bachelorette," will star as the next love-hunter on the upcoming edition of "The Bachelor." A wine-maker from California, he lost out on Ashley Hebert, who chose JP Rosenbaum instead.

Rumor was that he and Jennifer Love Hewitt had gone out on a date -- thank you Twitter -- but she later denied that there was anything between them.

No word on whether or not this would get in the way of a mayoral campaign in San Francisco.

I don't recall ever seeing an Asian, Hispanic, Native American or African American Bachelor. We see mixed race couples in sitcoms, why not on a "reality" dating show? Is it still taboo if they have a chance of ending up with each other? If you seek to bash me because of my comment, by all means. I was merely making an observation. Which is that their isn't much diversity on this show. It's typically the same formula repeated over and over.

I'm sure if the viewing demographic consisted of Asians, Hispanics, Native Americans or African Americans, then that would be who ABC would cast as their next bachelor/bachelorette. It's all about the ratings which is determined by who's watching. The show is way stupid anyway. I used to watch, but I had to stop as I could feel my brain turning to mush every Monday night.

Thanks for the heads up. This will be one season of The Bachelor where I won't be tuning in to watch. Ben needs a neck-up makeover. He needs a new hair style and eyebrow plucking or waxing. He does appear to be a good person from what I observed on The Bachelorette, but c'mon, ditch the hippie hairdo.

Didn't wach the last Bachelorette & won't watch the Bachelor or the freak show that's on now with Batchelor's & Bachelorette's. It's the greatest waste of time on earth...watching people get drunk & try to be "the one"...

Could no one see that ashley had serious problems with relationships and liking only the bad boys ??? He should be glad he was dumped..............I hope he finds a strong woman to love him like he deserves. Hes a great guy !!!

Well, she snapped out of it and her last 4 guys were all genuine sweethearts. Either way she chose, she would've ended up with a sweet, great guy. She happened to pick the one she had the most chemistry with as well.
