Forbes' 10 Most Powerful Women In Media (PHOTOS)

Forbes has released its annual list of the world's 100 most powerful women, and it includes some heavy hitters in the media industry.

The magazine rated the candidates by how much money their companies raked in, and their media appearances, social media reach and bases of influence. There are the usual suspects and a few newcomers as well as some notable dropoffs, including Rachel Maddow, Katie Couric and Meredith Vieira.
