"A Look Back" is a new, daily column that highlights a moment from fashion's fabulous past. Today's pick is a photo of Karl Lagerfeld and his model muse Ines de la Fressange from 1987. The fashionable duo was inseparable until 1989 when de la Fressange posed as the bust of Marianne, the symbol of the French Republic. Although the powerful pair pictured below didn't speak for years after, they reconciled in 2010 and she even walked for Chanel later that year. Take a moment to enjoy this image: Her eyebrows! His sunnies! Those shoulder pads! It is all just too much.
