Freja Beha Erichsen Covers Pop, Creeps Us Out (PHOTOS, POLL)

PHOTOS: How CREEPY Is This Cover?

Like LOVE and i-D before it, POP is releasing multiple covers for its Autumn/Winter 2011 issue. We already brought you the first cover, featuring a very prim and proper Georgia May Jagger in a dowdy, brown wig.

Now we've got the next covers, which show a very calm Freja Beha Erichsen with a super creepy doll hanging over her shoulder.

When we first glanced at the image, we thought that the creature on Freja's back was a monkey (you know, Marcel the Monkey-style).

But the doll is actually a Marina Abramovic miniature. The performance artist has been selected by POP to cover and appear heavily in the new issue. The mag's editorial director told Fashionologie, "When we did a straw poll of the staff, she came out as the younger section's favorite artist by a mile. . . She's somewhere between cult hero and secret crush for a generation it seems."

We actually really like the cover with Abramovic herself -- she looks stunning and her mini-me is not nearly as creepy. But we sort of cringe when we glance at the Freja shot, thinking the doll is some scary marionette (we really don't like marionettes).

Take a look and see -- do you like either of POP's covers?
