Karl Lagerfeld Talks Macy's Line, His Design Inspiration (VIDEO)

WATCH: Hear Karl Lagerfeld's Super-Thick German Accent

By now, you've probably caught a glimpse of Karl Lagerfeld's much-anticipated capsule collection for Macy's, which hits stores tomorrow.

But you probably haven't seen the Chanel creative director discuss the line in his own words... until now.

In the video below, the Kaiser proclaims (in quite the thick German accent) his admiration for the storied department store, explaining his inspiration: "It's all about Macy's ... their attitude, their client, a modern approach to what they do." He also astutely advises, "Think pink, but don't wear it." (So we're guessing Karl wasn't a big "Funny Face" fan?)

Coco Rocha also appears in the video, pointing out, "A lot of young women out there would love to be able to afford Karl Lagerfeld, but don't seem to have the cash."

Though the collection consists of 45 pieces, Lagerfeld doesn't like to keep count: "I made many sketches; they made the choice ... I don't know the numbers." After all, Lagerfeld is one of the most prolific fashion designers of all time... how could he possibly keep track of his creations?
