Excuse me, but isn't he still a minor? Do his parents not have any say in what he can or cannot do? I don't know if this Ferrari is his or not, but if it is, I would think his folks would have said "absolutely NOT - we don't care WHO you are!" He's still a kid AND a minor (unless the age is lower where he lives) but usually 18 is the age you are deemed an "adult" - at least legally. But of course money talks and is usually the end-all to everything it seems. In a lot of cases it IS the end-all unfortunately.

What, minors aren't allowed to drive? I've been driving since I was 16. Why shouldn't he be allowed to. All he did was back slowly into another car in his building's parking lot. Big deal. I don't think the fact that it was a Ferrari was the problem. It's more that he didn't look or gage the distance between the cars well is. He's been driving for all of one year.

I live in Studio City and there are a lot of high end cars here. At least he earned the money for that car. Most kids with expensive cars here got them as gifts from their parents.
