Holland America's Eurodam is a popular floating resort. The waters are crowded with sea-worthy vessels, so to make planning easier, we've done all the prep work for a cruise vacation. A seven-day eastern Caribbean voyage makes stops in the Turks and Caicos, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Half Moon Cay, Bahamas. The 13-day Spanish Crossing cruise travels from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Spain and Rome. The 29-day Ultimate Northern Discovery cruise embarks from Dover, England, and stops in Estonia, Russia, Newfoundland, Iceland and Finland.

The Holland America Eurodam is one of the cruise line's Signature-class midsize luxury ships, with a past-meets-present vibe and an elegant ambience to match. The 936-foot-long ship holds up to 2,104 passengers and 929 crew members.
Special Features
The Holland America Eurodam has 11 passenger decks, a topside Asian restaurant and a lounge with sweeping 270-degree views. There is a jewelry boutique, an atrium bar area and a culinary arts center that is used for gourmet presentations, tasting events and cooking classes. The ship also features a Dutch Golden Age-themed art collection, with 17th century watercolor maps by cartographer Johannes Vingboons, oil paintings by Jan van 't Hoff and a contemporary reinterpretation of Rembrandt's "The Nightwatch."
Accommodations
Accommodations on the Holland America Eurodam include four types of staterooms: interior, oceanview, veranda and suite. Interior and oceanview rooms are on the smaller side but have Sealy EuroTop mattresses, massage showerheads, a flat-panel TV, DVD player and complimentary fruit on request. Veranda rooms offer Posturepedic mattresses and up to 379 square feet of space. Superior suites include a complimentary DVD library. The luxurious penthouse suite boasts an oversize whirlpool bath, living room, dining room and dressing room, along with an ample 1,357 square feet of space to entertain other passengers.
Cost
A seven-day Eastern Carribean cruise on the Holland America Eurodam starts at $549 per person, with a veranda room averaging $749 and the deluxe penthouse suite beginning at $1,559 per person. Seventeen-day voyages to Iceland, Greenland and Newfounland start at $1,999, with intermediate rooms costing about $2,499. The Ultimate Northern Discovery journey spans 29 days and starts at $3,999 for an interior room.
Excursion
, the Holland America Eurodam shore excursion to South Queensferry (Edinburgh) was unique.
includes a canal boat journey to the Falkirk Wheel visitor center, which lifts boats more than 100 feet in the air, allowing guests to view the surrounding scenery before the vessel is deposited in the Union Canal for a journey through the 600-foot Rough Castle Tunnel. The trip ends with a visit to Rough Castle to explore the ruins.
Dining Options
, the Holland America Eurodam has more dining options than any other Holland America ship. The Rembrandt dining room has five-course menus, including continental, vegetarian and low-carb options. It is open for breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., lunch from noon to 1 p.m. and dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. There are also Asian and Italian restaurants on board, along with more casual dining options.
Maiden Voyage
The Holland America Eurodam's maiden voyage was in 2008. The ship was dedicated by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, and was the first of Holland America's new Signature-class ships, constructed specifically for the cruise line.
