LOS ANGELES -- Rihanna is suing over a hillside home that she claims has serious structural defects that rendered in uninhabitable.

The pop singer on Wednesday sued Prudential California Realty and several companies that designed and inspected the home.

The "S&M" singer's lawsuit claims she would not have paid $6.9 million for the home in 2009 if she had known about the problems. She claims water leaked into several rooms of the house from a balcony that lacks the proper slope and drainage after a rainstorm in early 2010. The suit states the damage left the home "uninhabitable."

She claims Landmark Design Group, which remodeled the home, has failed to make necessary repairs.

Landmark could not be reached for comment. Prudential spokeswoman Wendy Durand says the company does not comment on pending lawsuits.

She sounds like she's spending money as fast as every other kid that gets too much money all at once.

Due diligence and home inspectors can help with these situations. If she doesn't prevail in court, she will know better next time.

If you're willing to spend that much on a house why not hire your own inspectors? After the 2008 housing bubble and all the fraud and deceit involved on all levels of the system, why would this wealthy woman not have attorneys? Where the heck are her advisers?

Get your money back, girl! I totally believe this. Doesn't matter who you are, the real estate industry is capable of tremendous deceit.

Because she can. LOL. I'm sure that's peanuts to her.

She should have had a home inspection. Too bad for her. The seller is not required to "offer" information on problems, except when asked. Shes an idiot.

She probably did have one, but it depends who did it and how thorough it was.

Exactly. When that much money is at stake, inspectors and agents can work in cahoots.

Apoll...It's sometimes fun to debate on these message boards but only when your opponent uses logic. I've looked at your other posts and you are a "bomb thrower", you are bored and just want to debate for the sake of debating. I've had several people respond to me that they too have been duped by other artists/labels in the same manner....misrepresentation. The labels are hurting for sales and don't mind misrepresenting their products.. If you think this is OK,,, great , you win!
