Supermodel Blogger Emily Sandberg Sounds Off On Anna Wintour

Anna Wintour may have just earned a spot on Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women, but some people are still not fans.

Emily Sandberg of Supermodel Blogger is criticizing to criticize the Vogue editrix for choosing Kate Moss to grace the magazine's September issue (you know, the one that details Kate's "Great Gatsby"-themed wedding extravaganza).

Sandberg opined:

If Anna is correct in her decision, it’s even more disappointing that the best, the most current and exciting model today is Kate Moss. Although Moss remains fairly quiet in the press, her image is one of tabloid fodder and controversy. It’s a fashionable over done yawn.

While we can't say that we hated the Moss-heavy September issue, we can't help but agree that Moss has been around the Vogue block a time or two (or twenty).

But Vogue isn't in good graces with Sandberg to begin with. The blogger and former runway model was similarly dissatisfied with August cover girl Sarah Jessica Parker, claiming that the actress owes her fashion-icon status to a "small army of people."

Between relying on tired content and glorifying non-icons, Sandberg argues, Vogue is just no longer relevant:

I used to read Vogue to be informed about what was current and cutting the edge of fashion. Now I find out which socialite is having marriage, drug or boyfriend problems and what to do with my cellulite. The fashion spreads are no better. It’s the same hair, the same makeup, the same pose every issue.

We would suggest she pick up one of the glossy's international editions instead, but she probably would be none too pleased about both French Vogue and Vogue Brazil's recent covers -- looks like Moss-stock fever has gone international.
