Ever since reading the news about Jordache's new throwback TV commercials, which chronicle Jordache denim looks from the Farrah Fawcett-inspired Seventies up through today's skinny jeans, we've got vintage ads on the mind.
There's just something about decades-old clothing commercials. Maybe it's the highwaisted jeans and big hair they were peddling, maybe it was the jingles and slogans that were just so much better than today (after all, the jingle from Old Navy's 4th of July commercial this year made us want to gouge our eyes and ears out...).
In the name of nostalgia, we're taking a walk down memory lane -- revisiting bygone technologies and trends we were definitely glad to see go, brands that have transformed themselves (see: Gap) and some that have remained shockingly static over the past 30 years (see: Levi's, United Colors of Benetton).
