This has been a big, raunchy, sex-filled summer for funny man Jason Sudeikis.
And, lucky for us, it's only going to continue.
In the upcoming comedy, "A Good Old Fashioned Orgy," Sudeikis plays a 30-year old who, in a fit of nostalgia for his party-filled past, plans a huge end-of-summer orgy.
Co-starring with Will Forte, Leslie Bibb, Tyler Labine, Martin Starr and Lucy Punch, the movie narrates--in addition to group sex--the difficulties of growing up and friendship.
MTV News spoke with the writing and directing duo, Alex Gregory and Pete Huyck about the type of comedy they wanted to create and what an orgy really is.
"What sets ours apart from those other R-rated movies, you have 'The Hangover,' which is a guy R-rated comedy and 'Bridesmaids' is a girl R-rated comedy, and we all liked the idea of a co-ed comedy," Gregory explained. "Guys and girls together because when we grew up we were friends with girls. They were part of the gang and they were funny and cool. We hadn’t seen movies like that where the girls were in on the trouble," he said. "There are lots of movies where women are the antagonists, we wanted to make them the protagonists."
"We actually didn’t want to cast for looks. We were obsessed with the thought that this had to feel like a real group of friends, we were not going after anything regarding looks," Gregory explained. "It's whoever is best for the part. It ended up with the funniest actresses who are gorgeous. Its just by luck we got this incredibly talented, but also attractive cast. That wasn’t our plan."
"Right now [the orgy] is at the sweet spot of naughty and nice," Huyck added.
