Lost Wallet Returned
Police in the Cleveland suburbs say an Ohio man has been reunited with his lost wallet containing $4,600.

SOLON, Ohio -- Police in the Cleveland suburbs say an Ohio man has been reunited with his lost wallet containing $4,600.

Solon police Lt. Bruce Felton told reporters in an email: "There are still honest people in this world."

Felton described the man who lost the money as someone who carries a lot of cash in his work.

When he picked up the wallet, the man left a reward for Kleppinger at the police station. She won't say how much but says it was "completely unnecessary."

Nice to see all of the positive comment from individuals who would do the same! I truly believe most would!

If one was to judge Americans by our anonymous internet postings, one might conclude that we are trivial, single minded ideologues who are only interested in promoting certain agendas. However, stories such as this lets the world know that we are capable of "absolute" goodness.
If I could afford to I would reward this person with twice the amount of money that they returned. Proud of you Kleppinger.

Mongering for the common good! Omit Mitt!

This was a far better human interest story than the two women who are trying to out-FAT each other to set a world's record.

Now, if we only knew the political affiliation of the person who returned the wallet - that would add yet another interesting dimension to the story.

I would have done the same thing. I need cash as much as the next person these days, but I could never live with knowing I had taken someone else's money. What if that was their life savings? I think the vast majority of people would do the honest thing.. The only concern I would have is turning all that cash into the police.

Why is this a story? It was the right thing to do to return the wallet.

Spin this!

Because "the right thing" is not what many people would have done, obviously.
