Happy birthday, Pippa!

Today the famous Middleton sis turns the big 2-8 and to celebrate, we're looking back at a year of Pippa Style.

Although it may have been her 28th year, this was really the beginning of Pippa Middleton as we know her. On April 29, as everyone awaited Kate Middleton's big arrival at her Royal Wedding to Prince William, the world got a surprise in the form of maid-of-honor Pippa and her perky derriere.

Since then the world's gone mad for Pips and her enviable figure and style. From magazine covers and replicas built from food to an adult film offer and a made-for-TV special, Pippa Middleton has gotten the royal treatment in 2011.

But, of course, we love Pippa most for her style -- chic and simple, on-trend yet timeless. The sleeveless shift dresses, shiny designer sunglasses, luxe leather bags and sophisticated flats (along with permanently bronzed skin) have become this famous sister's signature look.

For those who don't understand why she's so fascinating to many -

True, she's cute, but not necessarily a beauty (though some may find her so), but she's also sassy, with lots of attitude, and that's right, she's not royal, she's ALMOST royal, which is probably much more enticing for many. It's just not as simple as saying she's not the most beautiful woman ever. She's a really interesting package...and beauty does not always equal sexy, nor does one have to be beautiful to be sexy. And sure, the media has concocted her fame and, to an extent, her appeal, but she does give them something to work with.

Maybe it's because I am female but to me Pippa looks older than what the media say she is. The same with Kate. To me they seem as if they led a stressful life. I'm not saying they should doll themselves up by putting on a cake load of make-up but just change their style up a bit to fit their features a bit better.

I Don't understand why people make a fuss over this chick. She looks VERY average to me. Nothing special about her at all, except her sister is married to a prince. And I have yet to see the legendary butt everyone says she has.

If you look up the word overrated in the dictionary there is a picture of Pippa.

This is an excellent example of the power of the media, turning a girl that you wouldnt look twice at walking down the street into a global sex symbol.

Those that disagree will think I am being catty and those that agree will understand I am just telling it how it is.
