Daphne Guinness Collaborates With MAC Cosmetics

Of all people, would you want Daphne Guinness to be doing your makeup?

Maybe if you're readying for a wild night out. Women's Wear Daily reports that the socialite-slash-artist is collaborating with MAC Cosmetics for a "color collection" (eye shadows, lipsticks, etc.) that will debut this winter.

The plan, WWD writes, is for "rich, seasonal hues," which for winter may mean rich browns and grays... or icy blue and purple, which we sort of expect more from the dramatic Guinness.

After all, this is the woman whose beauty signature is a black "skunk stripe" planted right in the middle of her bleach blonde hair. In fact we're surprised Daphne's doing a makeup line rather than a haircare collection, as we imagine she's got some great tips for protecting high-maintenance tresses.

We wonder if she'll promote her new MAC collection by giving herself a live makeover in the MAC store windows, à la Barneys. We'd show up -- and take notes.
