Michelle Obama Wears White For 'Let's Move!' At The U.S. Open (PHOTOS)

After going fancy for last night's Joint Session of Congress in that memorable Maria Pinto dress, Michelle Obama got sporty today at the U.S. Open.

In support of her "Let's Move!" campaign to get kids active, FLOTUS showed up at the U.S. Open tennis courts on Friday ready to, well, move. She hit around some balls with a group of kids, chatted with Serena Williams and even found some time to do some hula hoop!

Obama showed off some impressive moves, considering she didn't pick up tennis until later in life. She addressed a group of children, saying:

I grew up in the city, on the south side. And there were not a lot of tennis courts around. So I really didn’t get exposure to the sport until after law school, when I just sort of picked it up and started playing with some friends. And it’s the kind of sport that you just develop a passion for. And I’m not really good or anything like that -- that’s the beauty of tennis. You don’t have to be good to enjoy it, because I love the game and my skills are very questionable.

She didn't need to worry about her lack of skills. Not only did the crowd respond with laughter, but FLOTUS got to hang out with some tennis greats, including James Blake, Serena Williams and even Billie Jean King, who sat behind the First Lady as they took in a match later in the day.

Check out pics of Michelle putting her sporty gear to good use, as well as her bright orange outfit she wore during the match.

There is a picture of the First Lady posing with a bunch of the kids who are part of the Let's Move campaign: none of them are white. What are they trying to communicate?

There is this picture that is at obama diary.com that is worth looking up.

I can't quite put into words how I felt when I saw it, everyone has their own way of interpreting what they see. In this photo there is an elder and there is First Lady Michelle with her arms around her as it appears the woman is sitting down. If you have ever had one question in your mind about how people feel towards Michelle Obama, this picture should erase any doubts you have ever had.

What I saw in this photograph was an elder who represented where we have been as a nation and the struggle to get there. What I saw in this photograph was our first lady of the white house that is black who represented where we are as a nation and how far we have come. The most beautiful thing I saw in this photograph was the absolute peace and serenity on the elders face. A look I have only witnessed a few times in my life. The elder is gently holding Sister Michelle's arms and you can just feel how she realizes their true strength and hope for this country.

This photograph is both poignant and powerful and for just those few moments in time neither one had to speak a word to relay that message to the whole world.

What does this comment have to do with OUR FIRST LADY playing tennis? You have used this same comment AD HOMINEM, and it is completely irrelevant to this article. Your comment is off topic.
