There's bad sportsmanship, and then there's pinching an opponents kidney area so they can't focus during a corner kick.
These are the means Randers defender Remco van der Schaaf resorted to in order to get a leg up on the competition during his squad's 2-0 victory against Hobro.
Footage revealed that Van der Schaaf not only viciously elbowed an opponent during the match, but that he also discreetly squeezed an opponents sides during a corner kick in order to distract them.
The infractions resulted in the Danish football federation handing down a two match ban to Van der Schaaf.
These dirty plays by the Danish league player reminds us of Elizabeth Lambert, the University of New Mexico soccer player who got national attention for her remarkably brutal antics against BYU two years ago.
