'Strike Back' Episode Four Sneak Peek: Exclusive Clip Of New Cinemax Show (VIDEO)

Strike Back Episode 4

First Posted: 09/09/11 04:45 PM ET Updated: 11/09/11 05:12 AM ET

Cinemax's new show "Strike Back" is really one of the most explosive shows on television--really. In true HBO/Cinemax fashion, it's the perfect blend of blood, violence, sex and gritty humor.

In case you haven't been following all of the action, here's a short recap of the premise.

The series follows Section 20, an elite military black ops unit within the British government that focuses on high-risk, top-priority targets--including an international group of terrorists.

When one of their own is captured and held hostage by the terrorist group, the Section 20 enlists the help of Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton), a charismatic former Delta Force operative who is familiar with the terrorists. However, his cocky style is often at odds with the more formal team, especially the by-the-book Sgt. Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester). Team leader Col. Eleanor Grant (Amanda Mealing) is a smart, tough military leader who is skilled with a gun and diplomacy--but that doesn't mean she's afraid to break a few rules to get what she wants.

In tonight's episode, Scott (Stapleton) goes deep undercover into Daniel Connolly’s (Liam Cunningham, "Game of Thrones") terrorist group as a computer specialist and network hacker. Now, Scott must help Connolly with a heist by breaking into a security system. Unfortunately, Scott’s not a computer specialist or a hacker so Section 20 sets up a special computer worm to help Scott bypass a the security system remotely.

But, of course, Connolly is one step ahead of them.

Watch the exclusive clip of tonight's episode below. Catch all of the action tonight at 10 p.m. EST on Cinemax.

Oh never mind, it IS the British version. Wonder why cinemax claims it?

(a) why did they not have British accents? and (b) why didn't they just import the British show called Strike back? Much better and, interestingly, they are actually British.

If the show is any good, why would HBO choose it's ugly duckling mini station Cinemax to try and introduce it. In a recent scientific poll among the people I know, not one of them was a Cinemax subscriber. One show, even a good show, isn't enough to drive subscribership. Guess we'll just have to wait for the A & E reruns in about two years.

I never cared for 24. The last thing I enjoyed Kiefer Sutherland in was Lost Boys. Strike Back had a bit of a slow start but really hit stride towards the end of episode 2. Have to say I'm paying more attention to it than I did all the years 24 sludged on. Well done Cinemax, even if you overhyped the hell out of it at first.

Yay ANOTHER show about terrorism! Now lets get some more doctor shows and cop shows and there will be a perfect balance.

This show is great, but the author must be on wacky tabacy to compare this show to 24, they are nothing alike.

Both salubrious and lugubrious concurrently.

Combine 3 days growth of beard, a computer that can apparently find out anything about anything, a hands-free earpiece for easy 2-way communication (despite lack of a microphone), and 'moody' lighting and you have... at least four seperate series on air today that are practically indistinguishable from one another. Have you ever sat watching one of those shows and realize you've entirely forgot what the original crime was? something-something... guns drawn, bulletproof vests, entering a seemingly empty house... something-something.

ARE U OUT OF YOUR MIND ! This show will never be 24. Sorry this guy thinks he all that and a bag of chips. Jack Bauer drew u into to his life and the series were so real you could not get enough. So do us a big Favor and bring back 24. So sorry Strick Back the shoes are to hard to fill.

24 was a great show, but "so real", really? REALLY? Ya, not so real, definitely entertaining, but realistic, definitely NOT.

Loved "24" There is no Jack Bauer here. Strike Back is good, gritty, and the two characters do bang heads. Scott has more tendencies of Jack, except Jack wasn't cocky, he was my man of lets get it done. Strike Back is a good show watched every episode and really like it. But "24" was "24" and it stands alone!

I loved 24! Strike back is off to a good start but we have to see where it goes. But absolutely nothing can beat Spooks (or MI5 here in the US).

Um, a new 24? That's a bit of a stretch. I think the new Showtime series "Homeland" would be a closer match to '24'

Is this show any good? I'm a huge fan of 24 and Spooks, and I see there are some of the same actors being used in this one.
