Where Were You On September 11? Ten Years Later, People Share Their Memories On Twitter (SLIDESHOW)

SLIDESHOW: #WhereWereYou #OnSept11?

@JulietLinderman says it well: "I can't remember what I did last weekend, but I remember every detail of this day 10 years ago. I was in physics class at Lowell High SF, CA".

It's a sentiment an entire generation of Americans understand. As the country gives pause today to remember the attacks of September 11th, people are sharing their stories, often in uncanny detail, of where they were, who they were with, and what they were doing that fateful Tuesday morning a decade ago.

Younger Americans remember being in school that day, the class they were in, the teacher, even what seat--while many older Americans remember being on their way to work and can recall the road, the radio station and who they called. On Twitter today, thousands are using the #WhereWereYou and #OnSept11 hashtags to share these tales. A small sampling below.
