TV Weatherman Found With Naked Dead Man Quits His Job

A TV weatherman quit his job in LIttle Rock, Ark., because he couldn't take the heat from a scandal in which he was found in a hot tub with a dead man.

No one has been charged with a crime in the death of Dexter Paul Williams, 24, whose lifeless body was discovered last Monday, but meteorologist Brett Cummins resigned his position at KARK, CNN reported.

"The station was getting continuing inquiries, and Brett thought it would be best if he resigned," his attorney Mark Hampton said to CNN.

Cummins had stopped appearing on air last week after it was revealed that he awoke on Labor Day in an empty whirlpool next to Williams who was purple and blue in the face with a dog collar around his neck and nothing else on his body. The Arkansas Democrat & Gazette said.

A night of drinking and snorting illegal drugs preceded Williams' death, Barbour told police, although he didn't know what kind of narcotics they'd been inhaling.

Homeowner Christopher Barbour made the grisly discovery when he woke up because of Cummins' snoring, The Democrat & Gazette said. Cummins screamed and vomited on a carpet when he realized that his friend was dead, the paper said.

Cummins officially left KARK where he had worked since 2001, The International Business Times said.

An official from the Arkansas Crime Laboratory told CNN that the autopsy report should be finished in about a week.
