'We Bought A Zoo' Trailer: Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson Star (VIDEO)

Matt Damon Buys A Zoo

Celebrities make a lot of crazy purchases, but no one (aside from Michael Jackson) can compare with the buy made by Benjamin Mee, the British TV personality who bought his very own zoo.

Open to the public and thriving, the miraculous wonderland is, unfortunately, a bit of a commute for Americans to reach, as it's located in England. Lions and tigers and bears, denied.

Still, it isn't all bad news: director Cameron Crowe is bringing the zoo across the sea and taking it on a tour across the country (in movie form, of course). The "Almost Famous" helmer is directing a big screen adaptation of Mee's memoir, turning it into a Matt Damon-starring family drama called "We Bought A Zoo."

Damon just starred in last week's box office winner, "Contagion," while Crowe just released a documentary about Pearl Jam and Johansson may have just featured in some leaked nude photos.

The film hits theaters on December 23rd, and co-stars Scarlett Johansson, Thomas Haden Church, Patrick Fugit and JB Smoove.
