Brad Pitt On Marriage, Divorce And Fatherhood

Brad Pitt opens up about his divorce from Jennifer Aniston and his relationship with Angelina Jolie in the new issue of Parade magazine, on newsstands Sunday.

Pitt says his marriage to Aniston wasn't all it's cracked up to be.

"I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage had something to do with it," he told the magazine. "[I was] trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't." Pitt says he's finally "a satisfied man" after years of trying to "hide out" from stardom.

The father of six tells Parade that's he's loving parenthood, and his relationship with Jolie: "One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She is such a great mom. Oh, man, I'm so happy to have her."

On rumors of a split from Jolie, Pitt says, "We're not splitting up." He adds: "We'll get married when everyone can."

Pitt and Aniston divorced in 2005 after four and half years of marriage. Aniston and boyfriend Justin Theroux have been dating since June and recently moved in together.

He will never marry her, or maybe she will not want him. They are very different. The way a person is raised has a lot to do with how they will fair in marriages. He had a strictly conventional upbringing in the American midwest, and both Jen and Angie come from actor families. Jens was probably more "normal" than Jolie's, all that stuff about her crazy father Jon Voight and her brother who she says she slept with - It would seem she would be getting tired and bored with Brad. There is no way he can keep up with that. Where is his vial of her blood he should have hanging around his neck. and where are his tats?

On marriage and divorce, Aniston should THANK HER LUCKY stars Jolie came along-----whew!!!!!!!!!!! Cheaters belong with cheaters.

As far as fatherhood is concerned, again, Aniston should thank her lucky stars she didn't have any with him-----MAJOR whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like the quotes are selected for greatest effect. Pitt says that he wasn't "dissing" Aniston, but rather was commenting upon himself for leading a "dull" life. I appreciate his observation that he was looking for good movie rolls to play about interesting lives, yet didn't have one himself. How many actors are aware enough to see that? Sounds like all the parties landed on their feet and appear to be happy. Good.

In other words, they won't be getting married anytime soon. It's the same as saying "we'll get married when Martians land"

Maybe its just as well. They are having problems with that one adopted kid, who supposedly has a "live in psychologist" all his own. Since there are so many kids, we're looking at a major screw-up in the making. Jolie said she cut back on her schedule and this is probably why. It's very hard to raise a bunch who are some of your own and some adopted when you have to leave them home and go around the world for months on end for work. Look what happened to Mia Farrow. Woody Allen ran off with one of her adopted girls and married her. Maybe Brad will do that some day. Who knows?

hopefully, brad WON'T do that......he seems truely HAPPY for the first time in his life......i get the feeling, he wanted kids when he was with jennifer and she "didn't".....so with jolie, he GOT his family......i don't see any reason to possibly RUINE a good thing, with getting married.

though, i SUPPORT SAME-SEX MARRIAGE.

Whether you are a Jen fan or a Jolie fan, put aside that for a moment and honestly ask yourself, if you would appreciate a public comment like this from your ex? Thats all you need to ask yourself to evaluate this issue because I firmly believe what you don't want for yourself you shouldn't want for others. Be honest. Whether he was being self-reflective as some are saying, or it is a backhanded insult- doesn't matter, would you appreciate such a comment? I am curious to the response.

Suddenly Mr Pitt decides to put out a negative comment about his ex in a magazine. He's always tried to stay under the radar and above others. I've always thought him narcissistic but cute.

Could it be Jennifer has actually bought a new 2 bedroom home for herself and a man and is now in a state of bliss. This reeks of jealousy. I wonder how Angie takes these sudden out of the blue jealous remarks. I give them credit for their philanthropic work but hey, Mr Pitt, no need for the low blows. She's done nothing to you but you'll never undo your adultery.

Brad's comments about his previous marriage are self reflective in nature. He said and insinuated zip about his ex-wife, who apparently can take care of herself. I don't have a crystal ball with regard to how long his relationship with Jolie will last, but he is clearly a more productive, giving human being as the result of it, and I wish there were more people like him.

Whether people want to believe it or not - Jolie is really intelligent and a significant factor in the refugee missions in different places.  I spoke with a man that was less than happy when she was supposed to be the keynote speaker on a multinational forum about the various refugee rescue efforts around the world.  However, after she spoke and answered questions - he walked away with great respect for her and claimed she is the real deal and knows what she is talking about.

I think Brad needed someone that was deeply interested in other things - he was very interested in architecture and have heard they have done some building in New Orleans.

Who knows how long anyone will last - but I think they work well together.

Do people who have high esteem use heroin and cut themselves? Her own father less than 10 years ago said she needed mental health care. She appears to have no female friends. Even if she's cleaned up her wild child act, she still has to have issues. Obviously Brad does too so they're a pair made in heaven. I hope Aniston can look at this objectively now and realize she should be glad she's rid of him.
