Tareq Salahi Divorce: Officially Splits From Wife Michaele Salahi

White House Gate-Crasher Files For Divorce

Tareq Salahi has officially filed for divorce after his wife, Michaele, left him for Journey guitarist Neal Schon on Tuesday.

In divorce papers filed Friday and published by TMZ, Salahi cites abandonment and "an adulterous relationship with one Neal Schoun," as the cause of the split, adding, "I also understand that his rock band, Journey, paid for her travel, accommodations and other expenses." This, despite his lawyer's comment Tuesday that it was premature to say if the couple would split.

Salahi first reported his wife missing on Tuesday. It was later revealed that she was safe and with Schon in Memphis, Tennessee.

Salahi states in the divorce filing that "[Michaele] continually exposes our friends and acquaintances to her adulterous relationship and has flaunted the same throughout the community, the nation and indeed the world, and thus caused me to suffer great harm, humiliation and embarrassment." Indeed, TMZ reports that Michaele had bragged to friends about her "wild sex" with Schon.

The divorce papers indicate that a prenuptial agreement exists, but does not provide details of the terms.

The couple first landed in the spotlight in 2009 after crashing a White House state dinner. Michaele was a former cast member on "Real Housewives of D.C." before the show was canceled after one season.
