Emmys 2011, Outstanding Actress In Drama And Comedy: Who Should Win? (POLL)

Which Ladies Will Get The Gold?

Will Elisabeth Moss come back with a trophy in that "Suitcase"?

It's a wide open race for Outstanding Leading Actress in a drama, with the past three winners -- Kyra Sedgewick, Glenn Close and Sally Field -- not in the running. There are two main frontrunners, however, with Moss and "Good Wife" star Julianna Margulies leading the betting field.

Moss, the leading "Mad Men" actress, garnered her third Emmy nomination for her role as complicated working woman Peggy Olson and could take home the big prize based on the strength of her entry episode, "The Suitcase," which featured her in an all-nighter with Don Draper. Her character rose to a new prominence this season as the team started their own ad firm, and she answered the call with some of her top performances.

As for Margulies, she put in another top-shelf effort as a strong lawyer surviving and thriving after finding out her husband cheated on her. Two of her co-stars are nominated in both the supporting actor and actress categories, and Margulies' anchor performance could get her the win.

Also nominated are Mariska Hargitay, the beloved "Law & Order: SVU" mainstay; Mireille Enos, the stoic star of "The Killing"; Connie Britton, the rock of "Friday Night Lights" and Kathy Bates, who put in a solid effort last season in "Harry's Law."

As for comedy, Edie Falco defends her title for her dark role in "Nurse Jackie," though it's uncertain why the show is considered a comedy.. Amy Poehler figures to be a solid candidate for her zany and heartfelt role in "Parks and Recreation," while Tina Fey once again is in contention for her beleaguered life-imitating-art turn in "30 Rock."

Melissa McCarthy, who stole the show in "Bridesmaids," is up for the first year of "Mike & Molly," while fatally funny Laura Linney has a nod for "The Big C." Martha Plimpton grabbed a look, too, in the debut year of "Raising Hope."
