Emmys 2011 Red Carpet Trend: Red Dresses! (PHOTOS)

Seven's A Trend: Red Dresses Rule The Emmys Red Carpet!

In fashion, we live by the motto "three's a trend."

But seven? That's a full-force fashion movement.

The 2011 Emmys saw a variety of trends, but red was the clearest style statement. According to our unscientific count, no fewer than seven women wore red ensembles to the show.

Kate Winslet wore a cap-sleeved Elie Saab dress with a deep V-neck, while Kerry Washington presented an award in a glittering Zuhair Murad gown.

Margo Martindale picked up her "Best Supporting Actress in a Drama" statue in a gilt red top and long skirt and Angela Kinsey posed for pictures in a one-strapped dress in a fire engine hue.

Meanwhile, Giuliana Rancic asked the questions in a strapless red stunner and Lea Michele stole the show (or the red carpet, at least) in one of the only Marchesa dresses of the night. And Nina Dobrev got noticed at one of the first stars on the red carpet, wearing a bright Donna Karan frock.

Giuliana, Nina, Kate, Lea, Margo, Kerry and Angela -- who wore red best? See all the fiery dresses below!
