How is 11:30 "IN THE AFTERNOON"? That's an impossibility. Who writes these articles, young people? They should have some basic knowledge about time and English grammar if they want to be journalists.

Who writes these articles?? "Missing Teen" "Vanishes" without a trace ?? Since she is missing and no one knows how, I supposed she did vanish without a trace....duh !!!

It's funny that you just now question that line "Vanishes without a trace" considering it's been used for years. Where have you been? Haha.

To KatelynnH No, you misunderstood, I was questioning the link between the words Missing Teen, and Vanishes without a trace. Since the teen is MISSING its only logical that they VANISHED WITHOUT A TRACE, or otherwise you would know how they dissappeared. I can't believe I have to explain this !!!

One can still have an opinion...right?

Runnaway, met someone on the internet, who knows but far too much of this going on. It is a frightening place for parents, real parents to be if they have teenage girls. Kids are growing up way to fast and furious. Too much real world too soon and by the time they hit high school they "think" they have learned it all and in truth their brains aren't even totally developed. SAD Namaste

I hope they find her well.

All this generalizing about her tattoos and piercings is ridiculous. A lot of those kids that grew up and got them at a younger age a few decades ago ended up having kids of their own, and have given permission for their kids to get them before they turn 18. They are not an automatic label of dysfunction.

It's 2011 people. Have you been paying attention?

Exactly, my little sister was only 13 when she got her lip pierced and thats only because that was he only thing she wanted for her birthday. My mother told her she would pay for it(not that she neccesarily liked it) but if she did not like it, or if someone said something to he about it that she would have to pay my mother back. Im not saying my family was perfect but we werent exactly disfunctional. Im glad that you see the story beyond the girls appearance.

I hope she is safe and returns home. It's not easy being a parent or a teen in today's society. She may not have had her parents' permission for the tattoo and piercings despite a legal age limit so we should not judge without having accurate information.

Hey, there's another girl, a foster child, missing in the same area.

Sounds like from reading the whole story she may have run away. Looks like she has parents that let her do what ever she wants since she has a tatoo and nose and mouth peircing at the age of 16 already.

Maybe she was a straight A honor student and her parents let her get the piercings as a reward for winning the science fair...
You can't assume she's a bad kid with bad parents just because she has a tattoo and piercings.

She may very well be a good student. I never said she was not, but her parents are a different story. I am sorry but at sixteen the parents should be more involved in their daughter's life and know where she is at all times and who she is with. She is still a Minor.
