I don't blame her. We expected an activist EPA, Obama has done absolutely nothing with it. I'm starting to think he hates the EPA like the tea baggers do

Why is it taken for granted that Obama will be the Democrat's candidate in the next Presidential election?  Why don't the Democrats want to run an actual Progressive?  I want Sanders, or Warren, or Grayson, or Frankin!

She needs to quit. There is no place in the federal family for tree huggers with only one point of view.

She should go provide her services to China. Until their environmental policy is changed, there is no point doing anything differently in the USA.

Citizens need not to be protected, big business will look out for their welfare. Just wait until the President and congress are both republican. You can kiss any consumer protections goodby. Enjoy clean water and air while you have them.

I'm happy to see you have given up and see that the tea party will be in power. Your liberal ways are over for another 16 years when memory fails and we elect another liberal. Yes I will enjoy clean water with my tea, and when you go away the air will be clearer. Bye Bye liberals Bye Bye

The President continues his practice of kicking his supporters and his own staff to the curb. That's OK. I'm sure those Republicans are going to come over to his side soon.

So....according to Obama these new regulations would be onerous on business right now, but they won't be in 2013?

So Obama tells her we don't need to fight that fight right now.

Rewind to summer of 2009. The president fights for health care reform in the face of declining employment numbers and a surge in home foreclosures.

How do you choose when to fight the right battle?

If he had chosen to fight for single-payer health care, thus alleviating the cost of employers providing health insurance, what do you think would have happened to unemployment?

Gee, I can't understand why she was upset. She had gone before Congress and made a case for the regulations and then Obama pulled the rug out from under her.

It is a difficult decision whether to make a symbolic resignation or stay and fight for what you believe you can accomplish. It is only in retrospect that you know whether you made the right one. I can't second-guess Lisa Jackson on this one.

There are situations, especially in government and in positions of such authority, when resigning is exactly the right thing to do. This was one of those times. This president has back pedaled on every environmental issue of consequence that has come his way, and has flipped on near every campaign promise he made regarding the environment. Of course, he's done on just about every other important issue he's dealt with, as well. And what he has done is to discard any credibility Ms. Jackson and her agency might have had remaining, especially with regard to the radical right wingers trying to neutralize her authority. Indeed, this president did what the Republicans couldn't do, and it was an absolute disgrace.

Either one continues to go along with Obama's sellout after sellout or one finally takes a stand. It seems that Ms. Jackson is just along for the ride, and it's a shame, because her resignation would go far to convince those still buying into the Obama line that the man is not who he would have us believe. And the sooner Americans come to understand that, the sooner we can move on.

"Obama made it clear that “we just don’t need this fight right now,”

LOL...Fight? What fight? Obama has never fought for anything. When he actually does, then he can you the above excuse.
