Rush Limbaugh: Warren Buffett Should Be Embarrassed To Have Name Attached To Obama Tax (AUDIO)

Rush Limbaugh Tears Into Warren Buffett

Rush Limbaugh ripped into Warren Buffett on his Monday show, denouncing the billionaire for his association with the so-called "Buffett Rule" that President Obama introduced as part of his deficit reduction proposal on Monday.

The rule would set a minimum tax rate on people making over $1 million. It was named for Buffett due to his repeated calls for the government to raise his taxes.

Not surprisingly, Limbaugh wasn't happy about any of this, and he spent a lot of time lecturing Buffett. In one segment, he thundered that, rather than raise taxes, Buffett should just give his unnamed secretary (who has been used by Obama for years as a campaign line, since she pays a higher rate of tax than Buffett), a hefty raise.

In another segment, Limbaugh said that Buffett should be ashamed of himself for tying his name to Obama's tax policies.

"You've done very well," he said. "You are one of the wealthiest men in the world. And now look at the high honor that's been bestowed on you: your name attached to a tax increase. I would be embarrassed...you're going to be remembered as much for this as anything else."

CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story erred in stating that Buffett's unnamed secretary paid a "lower" tax rate than Buffett. It has been corrected to reflect Buffett's point that she pays a higher tax rate than he does.
