Duty Free Shopper Buys $199,000 Bottle Of Scotch

There are always fun finds to be made at the airport duty free store — just ask the Chinese businessman who dropped almost $200K on a bottle of scotch.

The man was flying through Singapore's Changi Airport when he eyed the the 62-year-old bottle of Dalmore single malt. He immediately set up a 100,000 Singapore dollar bank transfer to cover the deposit on the 250,000 Singapore dollar bottle. That's about $198,744 in American dollars, according to Google. It's one of the most expensive bottles ever sold.

One of only 12 bottles in the world, it was part of a special airport display aimed at connoisseurs, reports Agence France Presse. It will remain in its glass case until full payment is received.

No word if the buyer broke out into a flash dance, much like a mob did at the Beirut airport's duty-free shops back in March.
