Kendra Wilkinson Bashes Former 'Dancing With The Stars' Partner Louis Van Amstel

Although Kendra Wilkinson was all smiles on the "Dancing with the Stars" ballroom floor last season -- and made it through seven weeks of competition -- behind the scenes there were more quick tempers than quick steps.

“I had never watched the show before I was on it,” Wilkinson tells me backstage at "New York Live." “I thought it would be fun and [I would] have a good time and it was a real competition. It was a lot of stress and I clashed constantly with [dancing partner Louis Van Amstel]."

But a little rehearsal bickering wasn't what really razzed the former "Girl Next Door."

“We clashed constantly. He called me dyslexic. He asked if I was learning disabled,” Wilkinson writes in her new book Being Kendra. She also writes, “Part of me thought this is what selling out looks like.”

Wilkinson went on to explain that Van Amstel wanted so much to win that he took his job of turning her into a professional dancer too seriously. However, another of his ex celebrity partners, Lisa Rinna, isn’t going to let Wilkinson trash talk the man she also danced with -- she insists Van Amstel is a great guy.

“He is a love bug,” Rinna tells me. “He pushed me and made me into a dancer. We are like brother and sister -- we can fight like cats and dogs but we love each other to death. I adore him. I would do anything for him.”

Including defending him from Kendra.

Dancers are known for their intensity. Kendra is a party girl, she isn't used to real work, although I'm sure getting it on with an 80 year old felt like it.

Kendra hated the entire experience, that was clear at the time even. I was surprised because being pretty and athletic she seemed like she might have had a shot. Louis just seems like a nice guy, but it is a competition. Not everyone gets along, but I'm sad that she's bashing him like that.

Aaaaair head in lala land. If she'd ever actually watched the show before going on it, she might have know it requires serious effort. I think her 15 minutes are over, or should be.

Kendra is entitled to say what she feels, however my impression is that some of these "stars" don't realize that learning to dance well is HARD work, and that some of these people take winning seriously.

No one forced her to go on this show and I think she did not want to do all the practicing and he was probably quite put out with her, and lets face it, she did not kill herself being on Hef's show or living free at the mansion. She was the least motivated contestant and probably should not have been on.
