They like to say that LA is new to the craft beer hulabaloo. But "skinny" cocktails be damned -- we want to guzzle beer. In fact, we like making it, too. Across the city, bars and restaurants are supporting breweries local to Southern California (Laurel Tavern, Fundamental LA, 1642, Venice Beach Wines and so on), but it's the following five watering holes that are serving beers to fete the new autumn season. If you like yams, spice or chocolate -- then get to a local tap near you.

It's no matter if you're seated at one of the envy-triggering booths with the personal go ahead-and-pull-'em taps; feel confident that the brews will still satisfy, particularly when the beer director gives a damn to source a seasonal brew like Autumn Maple, courtesy of Orange County's The Bruery. Do you like yams? Because the 10.5% buzz-concentrate was brewed with 17 pounds of it per barrel. No one's mad if you drink it with chef Jessica Christensen's buttermilk fried chicken with fried green tomatoes and succotash.
