Newer and larger than other MSC vessels, the Musica is more glamorous than many of its earlier sister ships. However, like all MSC ships, the company prides itself of creating a low-key, relaxed cruising atmosphere. The Musica has special amenities that lure families to the ship.

has some unique cruising features, including a Zen garden. Families will enjoy two pools, a children's water play area and the super-sized movie screen. Adults can try their hand at poker in the Sanremo Casino or boogie in the Q32 Disco.

The MSC Musica's two main restaurants are Le Maxim's and L'Oleandro. Each offers open seating for breakfast and lunch, and two set seatings for dinner. The Kaito sushi bar offers fresh, handmade sushi. For a more casual dining experience, head over to Il Giardino with its a la carte menu.

In January 2010, an MSC Musica crew member, Camilla Peixoto Bandeira, was found dead in her cabin aboard the ship. In May 2011,
