Katy Perry Is Not Ready For Babies (VIDEO)

Ready for Babies?

Katy Perry is InStyle's October cover girl, looking colorful as always with her recently dyed bright pink hair.

While the singer recently told reporters she's "jealous" of news of Beyonce's future bundle of joy -- even tweeting that she and husband Russell Brand are available to babysit anytime -- the singer doesn't have babies on the brain.

Perry married Brand last October, and tells the magazine, that while they are homebodies who hang out in their slippers, it doesn't mean she's ready to completely settle down.

The 26-year-old told InStyle that she's simply too busy with her red-hot career to think about babies.

"I think if you're married, it's often in your future .... I think in the future -- the very far future -- when I have children," she said.

But when the time does come for kids, Perry won't be looking to her own upbringing for parenting inspiration.

She told the magazine, "I'll have a more open approach, setting boundaries and showing them [her children] what their decisions and choices will breed."

Perry has spoken before about her own strict Christian upbringing, , claiming that she "didn't have a childhood," and "was always scared I was going to get bombed when I was there," she told Vanity Fair in May.

But Perry clearly has no time for babies, since she plans to top the King of Pop, by trying to nab a sixth No. 1 single off her "Teenage Dream" album. THR reports that "The One That Got Away' is slated for airplay next month.

The singer officially made history in August, when a fifth single off her platinum-selling album hit number one, making her the only artist to do so since Michael Jackson released five No. 1 singles off his 1987 album "Bad."
