Naturi Naughton Reveals How She Keeps It Sexy On 'The Playboy Club'

Maintaining one's beauty on the set of any Hollywood production can be a bit labor intensive. Fortunately for actress-singer Naturi Naughton, she has struck a balance between her on-screen talents and off-screen hair products: The star of NBC's "The Playboy Club" conditions her hair prior to arriving on set.

We recently caught up with Naughton, who revealed to us some of her favorite fashion designers, hair care products and her thoughts on using fashion as a form of self-expression.

Who are some of your favorite fashion designers?
I like Michael Kors, I like BeBe, and I like some other designers. I'm not really into big, upscale, high-end fashion design wear. I respect the designers that are doing quality clothes, but I think some of my favorites will probably be a cool vintage skirt or a cute top that I can find. To me, it's not always about the designer and the brand name, it's about how the clothes make you feel. The color, the fit, the cut -- all of that is important to me. So I'm big on that, but I do like BCBG. I'll hit up an H&M real quick and feel like, "Yay, I found some cute stuff in H&M," or Top Shop and stuff like that. So I'm the girl that goes shopping to different stores, low-end, high-end and I can find cute stuff everywhere as long as it makes me feel good. That's how I feel about fashion: It should be an expression of you, no matter how much it costs. It should feel good, and it should make you feel good.

Do you have any favorite hair products that you use?
Oh yes, I'm serious about my hair. I have to be, especially with being in shows where your hair is always being curled and putting heat on it. I make sure that I try to keep my hair conditioned. I use Softsheen Carson, Dark & Lovely products, like the triple repair hairdress around my edges to keep my hair moisturized and stop from breaking. And I also use olive oil products. Olive oil has a great hair sheen and hair spray that keeps the hair nice and moisturized and shiny. I also like Carol's Daughter. I use their shampoo and conditioner, it's really good for my hair. I think Carol's Daughter has some really good products to help maintain the health of my hair. So those are the three products that I really like: Carol's Daughter, Softsheen Carson and olive oil.

Naughton also discussed her new role as Brenda on "The Playboy Club," as well as the idea of posing for Playboy magazine. Check out the full interview. "The Playboy Club" airs every Monday at 10 p.m. (EST) on NBC.
