The Norwegian Sun is an 848-foot ship that boasts Norwegian Cruise Line's "Freestyle" cruise experience. It can accommodate 1,936 passengers with a crew of 953. The ship cruises at a speed of 22 knots.
All-Ages Fun

is home to a newly refurbished Kid's Crew club. It also offers a state-of-the-art fitness center, a sports court and teen discos.
Accommodations
The Norwegian Sun offers inside
that can house up to four guests, oceanview rooms, staterooms with balconies and a variety of suite and penthouse options. Rooms designed with families in mind are available in each of the categories. Inside staterooms are 145 to 172 square feet; oceanview rooms are 145 to 170 square feet; balcony rooms are 198 to 221 square feet; and suites range from 322 square feet to 828 square feet.

Cruise
range from a three-day, round-trip Bahamas cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida, at $289 per person for an inside stateroom to a 14-day Norway, Iceland and Faroe Islands cruise from Copenhagen at $3,699 per person for a suite. Children younger than age 2 receive a reduced fare. Certain itineraries offer discounts on the third and fourth guests in the same stateroom. Infants younger than 6 months old are not eligible for travel on Norwegian Cruise Line ships. Check the website for last-minute and online deals. The website also has a "best price guaranteed" policy.
City Tour Excursions
The Norwegian Sun offers a
from Copenhagen with stops in Berlin (Warnemuende), Germany; Tallinn, Estonia; St. Petersburg, Russia; Helsinki, Finland; and Stockholm (Nynashamn), Sweden. Shore excursions include city tours of Berlin and St. Petersburg.
Dining Experience
The Norwegian Sun has restaurants that are included in the cruise price and those that are an additional cost. The two main dining rooms, a tapas bar and a garden cafe are complimentary options for guests. Restaurants that are available for an extra charge offer French and Italian cuisine as well as sushi. Room service is complimentary from 5 a.m. to midnight. There is a delivery charge for room service from midnight to 5 a.m.

The Norwegian Sun's maiden voyage was on Sept. 10, 2001. The Norwegian Sun was christened alongside the Norwegian Star.
