Patti Stanger, 'Millionaire Matchmaker,' Angers Gay Fans, Jewish Men, New York Women

Patti Angers Fans

It seems like the "Millionaire Matchmaker's" success rate is taking a huge dip -- and we're not talking about her less-than-stellar matchmaking. Fans are turning their backs on the self-proclaimed love-guru Patti Stanger.

Andy Cohen opened the fifth season of "Watch What Happens Live" Sunday night (Sept. 25) on Bravo -- and Stanger made quite an impression. The "Millionaire Matchmaker" answered questions from viewers about dating, including on from a gay man asking about open relationships.

Stanger's answers are stirring up a little controversy.

Stanger talked about open relationships and the idea of monogamy in homosexual relationships, saying "In the gay world, it will always be open. ...There is no curbing the gay man." She then turned to Cohen, who happens to be openly gay, and said, "I have tried to curb you people.'" Cohen then replied, "I am a gay and am down for the monogamy," but Stanger laughed and then fired back, "When was the last time you had a boyfriend?"

And that's not all -- gay men weren't the only ones under fire. Stanger also proclaimed, "Jewish men lie," -- because Stanger obviously knows every single Jewish man, in the world.

Yet, this isn't the first time the "third generation matchmaker" has gotten herself into trouble with her generalizations. Just last week, Stanger said that the women of New York needed to dumb it down to find Mr. Right.

"Women are smart in business and dumb in love," Stanger told the hosts of "New York Live," regarding single women living in New York. "They won't date outside their zip code, let alone outside the city. They are city snobs."

Stanger, who happens to be single after breaking off her engagement last year, went on to suggest that women should try to avoid big words and mentioning SAT scores before the wedding -- because once you're married, that's obviously okay to talk about.

"You've got to dumb it down a little because men are not that bright."
