Wilco's 'Art Of Almost' Off 'The Whole Love' (VIDEO)

Wilco's Ferocious 'Art Of Almost'

We've had great expectations for Wilco's The Whole Love, out today (!), ever since Jeff Tweedy revealed that his writing process for "Born Alone" involved random stabs at Emily Dickinson. This was clearly an experiment for the oft-pigeonholed dadrockers, and Wilco guaranteed it as such by shunning the big studios in favor of their indie label dBpm records. Enter the track "Art Of Almost" off Whole Love, a rangy, ferocious piece of guitar and electronica that's only distantly related to Yankee Foxtrot Hotel's end riffs, like a cow to a whale. It's an open-hearted, edgy departure for an established band, and we're digging it.
