Facebook's new profile allows users to jump to different years of their lives (going as far back as 2004 in Facebook years), basically making it impossible leave the past behind. If Don Draper were around today, he'd have just the pitch ready to go for it.
The "Mad Men" scene in question shows Draper skillfully lay out a Kodak Carousel pitch around nostalgia ("it's delicate, but potent"). Some genius has supplanted the slideshow portion of Draper's pitch with Facebook screenshots, and voila -- Carousel, meet your successor! Now, we're all aware this isn't real and Don Draper isn't actually promoting Facebook Timeline, but he kind of is. This video will likely nudge along some resistant Facebook users to ditch their walls and beloved profiles and adapt to the timeline way of life.
