Part of central London has been brought to a standstill after a suspicious package was found in the Tottenham Court Road area.
Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street have been closed to the public by the Metropolitan police.
The area is one of the capital's main shopping districts.
The Met confirmed to The Huffington Post UK that a suspicious package has been found but had no further details.
