ABC TV Promo From 1990: 'Doogie Howser,' 'Full House,' And More

Blast From The Past: Neil Patrick Harris, Olsen Twins And More!

As the fall television season starts up in earnest, with just a few shows left to debut, it's worth assessing which new shows are hot and which are flops. But it's a lot more fun to look back at old shows and the hilarious, moment-in-time advertisements that make clear just how far TV has come.

Come back with us to a time where kid doctors, blue collar families, singing cops and 1960s nostalgia reigned on television (well, not the singing cops part, so much) and networks promoted their primetime lineups with singalong promos that would only be accepted today if done ironically. ABC put together this fantastic singing ad for its 1990 slate, featuring vintage favorites such as "Doogie Howser, MD," "Full House," "Family Matters," "The Wonder Years" and "Cop Rock." Yes, "Cop Rock."

Actually, it's impressive to see how many stars featured 21 years ago are still kicking around. There is, of course, Neil Patrick Harris, now all grown up and a star on both TV and film. Roseanne Barr is still making TV, while the Olsen twins and much of the rest of the "Full House" cast are still prominent -- especially Uncle Jesse.
