Mitch Hedberg's Letter To Uni-Ball Pen Company (PICTURE)

Late comedian Mitch Hedberg loved to hand-write his jokes the old-fashioned way, and after borrowing someone's Uni-Ball Gel Impact pen to fill out a slip in North Carolina, he was an instant fan. So much so that he decided to reach out to Uni-Ball to thank them for their work.

This letter, which was recently posted to Hedberg's site, is what he ended up sending -- and we've gotta say, he'd be a pretty cool fan to have.

An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You would never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience.

Any time I read something about MH I find myself reading every comment page after page. The reminder of his comedy, the pleasure it still brings so many, and the positive energy of the posts are a nice change from the usual garbage.
I'm sure Mitch would have loved it too!

True story, 2001. I did some art for Mitch, and this is how we met. When we were in his dressing room and I gave him the picture, he sat down, and put it on his lap.

I said, "You know, now that we've met in person, I don't think that looks like you. I mean, it looks like the pic you gave me, but not you in real life..."

Mitch: "Yeah, but I looked exactly like THAT, on THAT day. Plus I'm glowing. All right. That's cool, man."


I miss you, Mitch. So, so much.
