Andrej Pejic Will Meet The Queen At Buckingham Palace

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 09/30/2011 9:17 am Updated: 11/30/2011 4:12 am

We simply can't get enough of androgynous model Andrej Pejic, who brought gender-fluidity to fashion when he became a runway favorite this year. In fact, his impact on the industry even earned him a spot on HuffPost's 2011 list of Game Changers.

So we were happy to learn that Pejic has been invited to Buckingham Palace for an event in honor of the Queen's upcoming visit to Australia (where the Serbian-born stunner spent his formative years).

Given some of Pejic's outré ensembles, we're left wondering what he might wear to the buttoned-up engagement. Some of his magazine covers have, after all, been censored by bookstores here in the U.S.

Fortunately, Vogue U.K. reports that the Palace is not concerned about Pejic's sartorial proclivities. According to a spokesperson:

The invitation's recommended dress code is a day dress or a lounge suit - but guests are very welcome to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.

Still, we wouldn't recommend greeting Her Majesty wearing this.

Whatever Andrej dons for the occasion, one thing's for sure: His grandmother must be proud.

Wikipedia has articles on the ANDROGEN INSENSITIVITY SYNDROME, helping to educate those who couldn't afford a college education and were home-schooled at the neighborhood bar.

it's not the first time anyone's used a guy as a model. at the very least, dig thru some old gaultier shows &, undoubtedly, some of vivienne westwood's. & there's more, most from the outlying shores of fashion but some directly from the couture catwalk. he's just the most famous among them.

Very beautiful---and skinny and flat everywhere, just as the industry is demanding, I suppose. Like someone else posted above, I guess it was only a matter of time before they finally went with bone-thin, no-hips-no-breasts-no-curves-at-all young men on the catwalk.

Well, this is strange. But considering the reality of 'coat hanger' and not really feminine models modeling as anorexic girls; maybe employing a flat chested guy is not such a big leap. Either way, the fashiong industry is out of touch with real bodies. The super-skinny, estrogen depleted models are not much more sexual anyway. IMO. To me, this is no more interesting than using a plastic model doll. Same thing.

He should keep the hair, and wear some sort of old royal french outfit..Some sorta Louis The Queen ensemble.

Talk about "snake hips!" I wonder if he's also anorexic or bulimic! This industry is a joke, anyway. So what's the difference as who or what is modeling the ridiculous looking clothes and shoes.

heterosexual men who dress part or full time as women are called cross-dressers. Gay men who dress as women part time refer to themselves as drag queens. Men who feel they are women trapped in a man's body but have not had surgery and feel they need to dress as women fulltime are refered to as pre-op transexuals.

Please don't use synonoms to hide the truth. That's not cool
