While for the most part Nicolas Ghesquiere can do no wrong at Balenciaga, the Spring 2012 runway show yesterday in Paris was full of surprises (and not always the good kind, fashionable guests fell to the floor when their benches broke before the show!)
Less dramatic, but still worth noting are the black hats paired with the ready-to-wear. Short in the front, long in the back: these visor-esque hats are sort of like high fashion mullets (and recall Cristobal Balenciaga's designs from the 1960s!). But we kind of love them.
