Bank Of America Protests: Dozens Arrested At Company's Boston Offices [WATCH]

10/ 1/11 06:10 AM ET   AP

BOSTON -- Police have arrested two dozen protesters for trespassing during a demonstration against Bank of America's foreclosure practices at the banking giant's offices in downtown Boston.

"They wanted to be arrested, and we obliged," Boston police Commissioner Edward F. Davis told the newspaper.

Organizers say about 3,000 people joined the protest.

Bank of America spokesman T.J. Crawford dismissed the demonstration as a publicity stunt.

There was no mention of Bank of America's planned debit card fees, which recently have generated headlines and frustrated customers nationwide.

ok I can't save my home , lost half my income , Bank of America turns out took out a insurance policy on my home that I have owned for 18 years for the full amount of the morgage , so they get all the money back plus what ever they get from selling my home after the foreclosure . My home will get a good price when it's sold off . Well the bank makes out and I will move on , perfect time to think about a warmer climate

aftersootdamnp, I am not quite sure what you are talking about in response to my post, however, I feel you were very nasty in your tone. The march on Wallstreet is here to stay, and that's the truth truth, if you and others like you feel that you have the right to mistreat others, then your day will come as well!!!

The Baggers should be protesting the recent investigation conducted by Bloomberg regarding the financial shenanigans of the Koch Brothers! It's un-patriotic not to!

Your state AG is either elected or appointed.  You're asking the fox to help out the hens.

Gotta bypass the system and do public demonstrations.

Many are asking why the MSM is downplaying these protests, but will play up any Bagger protest, even the ones where no Baggers show up at all. The answer is because the MSM is not a disinterested party in all of this. The MSM is composed of large for-profit businesses. These businesses stand to gain if people's frustrations can be turned against the government, as the government is the people's only formal tool for opposing the power of big business. On the other hand, when people begin to direct their attention towards big business, the risk arises that people will realize the class nature of the struggle that they are involved in and therefore direct their attention to big business in general (capitalism). After all of the effort that big business has gone through to purge socialism from the American consciousness (as the Texas Board of Education has tried to purge Thomas Jefferson from the consciousness of Texans), sitting idle while the American public rediscovers socialism is not an option to corporations.

people need to make a good ol fashioned run on the bank like in the great depression and withdraw all your funds IN CASH until they offer the free checking that the banks they swallowed with tax-payer funds did.
it's because of the stupidity of congress and the tax-payer funded bailout that this is happening.
how about Monday the 16th of October or Tuesday November 1st anyone want to help organize this

"Bank of America spokesman T.J. Crawford dismissed the demonstration as a publicity stunt."

Just consider what happened after the tens of tens sowed up for the publicity stunts that started the Tea Bagger revulsion. The bought and paid for media was all over it and fed the beast. What's happening now isn't getting more than a passing coverage if any notice at all. At least these people didn't show up with guns.

Neither did the tea party... Show me one link where someone got shot at a tea party rally. I attended a couple of those. It was nothing other than politicians speaking.

"Bank of America spokesman T.J. Crawford dismissed the demonstration as a publicity stunt."

Three thousand people took time out of their schedules to protest against Bank of America. That is quite a number for this to be nothing more, than a publicity stunt.

"There was no mention of Bank of America's planned debit card fees, which recently have generated headlines and frustrated customers nationwide." Stated T.J.

Duh. I don't think protesters were out there simply because of credit cards fees. Even though that's enough to have Americans heads spin. I think they were out there because of the numerous corrupt banking practices, such as illegally seizing homes, predatory lending, not to mention taking financial relief from tax payer's dollars while tightening their measures on lending, just to name a few!

The war that has been waged against Wall Street and banks like Bank of America has just began.
