Dunder Mifflin Pyramid Tablet Released On 'The Office' (VIDEO)

Dunder Mifflin Tablet

Forget the Kindle Fire. Who needs an iPad 2? NBC's sitcom 'The Office' is unleashing the power of The Pyramid.

Dunder Mifflin-Sabre brazenly jumped into the tablet market Thursday night on "The Office," bringing their new name to the game. The uniquely-shaped tablet computing device comes with a number of optional accessories, and is sure to confound even the most technologically-adept people out there.

However, as Mashable points out, a number of tablet manufacturers out there might not find this so funny, especially the likes of HP, whose $99 TouchPad firesale ahead of the product's cancellation sparked a frenzy for the cheap tablets, which had sold poorly at their original price points. Likewise, price tags for the struggling BlackBerry Playbook and the HTC Flyer have been slashed recently at Best Buy and other locations.

It's a tough market out there for would-be iPad killers. Can the Dunder Mifflin-Sabre Pyramid top the heap? ...Probably not.

Check out the clip (below) to see the Pyramid in action.

Stopped watching the Office back in 09. THe genius of the original "Office" show from the BBC was that Gervais knew when to stop.

I was in the Honor Guard when I was in the U.S. Air Force, and when we folded the casket flag that draped the deceased veteran's casket, it came out looking EXACTLY like the "Pyramid Tablet", right down to the dark blue background and white "stars" - or in the case of the Pyramid Pad, icons. When you place one of those folded casket flags in the case, then it looks 100% like the Pyramid Pad, right down to the border along the outside.

Am I the only one that thought it looks like this?

There is a resemblance but it is a fluke.

Include an eye at the top of the pyramid [like on the back of a one dollar bill) and call it an EYE-PAD.

This show is SOOOOOO BORING it kills me to even watch the commercials. Yes, I get that there is humor in it, but it's honestly just one take after another of one of the lead characters doing something ridiculous and one of the straight man characters looking into the camera at the audience with an expression of "wow, can you believe this?" I also don't work in an office building so that part is lost on me as well. Never read Dilbert either, folks !!! Time to go away...

Love Rainn Wison! I've met him a couple of times, and he's really nice, nothing at all like his character, which just goes to show how great an actor he is. :)

LOL sure, I mean, the reason that made The Office awesome is their great actors. I think some of them are its scriptwriters as well. That explains how great their talents are.

Yes, I've noticed a lot of the names come up in other capacities besides just acting. It must be a fun show to be on. They come up with some really weird stuff. Almost anything goes on there.

I miss Steve Carrell, but the show has increased in "funnyness" by 75%!! I laughed for the whole 1/2 hour. James Spader is funnny!!!

Spader is very talented. He was great on Boston Legal. Not a show I watched a lot, but when I did I was very impressed. He and Shatner were like a great comic team together.
